How to make a CRA payment
Instructions for making a corporation income tax (T2) or GST/HST payment through CRA My Payment.

Before you begin
- Have your 9-digit Business Number ready.
- Have the exact payment amount ready.
- My Payment accepts bank access cards only — Visa Debit or Debit Mastercard.
- Credit cards cannot be used with My Payment.
- Your financial institution may apply a daily debit-card transaction limit.
- Save or print the CRA confirmation after paying.
- Payments are usually credited the same business day; allow up to three business days to appear in your CRA account.
If you are unsure about the account number or payment amount, contact Caldex before making the payment.

Steps to make a payment to your corporation income tax account.

Open CRA My Payment
Select the Open CRA My Payment button above.

Select Corporation income tax
Under the Businesses section, select Corporation income tax (T2).

Select Amount owing
On the next screen, select Amount owing.

Enter the corporation tax account number
Enter your 9-digit Business Number in the first box.
The middle box should show RC.
In the final box, enter 0001.
If Caldex has given you a different corporation tax account number, use that number.

Enter the payment amount
Enter the exact corporation income tax amount provided by Caldex.

Continue to payment
Select Next and confirm the Business Number, RC program code, account number and amount.

Complete the payment
Pay using an eligible Visa Debit or Debit Mastercard bank access card.

Save the confirmation
Save or print the CRA confirmation. Send a copy to Caldex if requested.
Understanding the CRA account number
A CRA business program account has three parts.

Account number
- Your Business Number is the 9-digit number CRA assigns to your business.
- RC is the corporation income tax program code.
- RT is the GST/HST program code.
- 0001 is normally the first program-account number.
Use the account number provided by Caldex if it differs from the example.
