What types of businesses does Caldex work with?

Small businesses, most of them incorporated and owner-operated. Whether we are a good fit depends on your structure, volume and the support you need — that is what the consultation is for.

Where does Caldex provide services?

Caldex currently serves clients in Ontario. Work is carried out remotely using the records and system access agreed during onboarding.

Can Caldex prepare my personal tax return?

Personal tax (T1) preparation is available only to the individual owners of Caldex corporate clients. We do not offer general personal-tax filing, or family, investment, trust, estate, cross-border or non-resident tax services.

Does submitting the consultation form make me a client?

No. It starts an initial conversation. Services begin only after scope, responsibilities, access and timing are agreed and an engagement is confirmed.

How are fees and scope determined?

Fees and timing depend on the scope, the state of your records and the volume of work, so we confirm them with you before an engagement rather than publishing a fixed price list.

What can Caldex do when I receive a CRA notice?

We can review the notice, confirm what is being requested and by when, organize the supporting records, prepare a response within our engagement scope, and track follow-up. We cannot guarantee that a penalty, interest charge or reassessment will be reduced or reversed.

Can Caldex set up or clean up QuickBooks?

Yes — file setup, chart-of-accounts structure, cleanup of inconsistent history and ongoing support. We also work with other common bookkeeping platforms and do not claim an Intuit partnership or certification.

Can Caldex help me incorporate?

We handle the accounting and setup side: registration information, business-number and program-account considerations, and getting bookkeeping and payroll organized. This is not legal advice — Caldex is not a law firm.

Is financial reporting an audit?

No. Reports are prepared from your records for internal use. They are not an audit, review engagement, assurance, valuation or financing approval.

How do I send documents securely?

Not through this website. Once we have spoken, Caldex provides secure submission instructions directly. Please wait for those instructions before sending anything sensitive.

What should I never put in the consultation form?

Accepted Answer

Never include SINs or other identifiers, tax documents, CRA notices, banking details, payroll or employee records, identification documents, or passwords. A short description of your business and what you need is enough.
